Who we are
With over twenty years of experience working with the community of A’Ukre, we use participatory and collaborative methodologies to support community priorities, including education and leadership opportunities for youth and women. The community currently faces multiple threats to their livelihoods and well-being: Illegal and legal mining, intensive agro-industrial practices, contaminated waters and lands, deforestation, land degradation and climate change. Co-designed projects cultivate local capacity in informational technology, media, language preservation, women’s sports, Indigenous foodways, healthy environments, and innovative solutions to sustainability challenges.
