The A’Ukre Project is a volunteer-led, advocacy-based non-profit organization that works with the Mebêngôkre village of A'Ukre. Our goal is to work with the community to co-design initiatives that strengthen the sustainability and well-being of Indigenous Peoples. The Mebêngôkre Peoples live in and steward the Kayapó Indigenous Lands, a bioculturally diverse landscape of over 11 million hectares of forest and savannah environments in the Amazon. The village A’Ukre sits in the heart of this area.
